Austin, TX – January 11, 2010 – Starmount, the leading provider of solutions for the digital signage and retail professional services industry, announces retail industry veteran John L. Panteck has joined Starmount as Vice President of Professional Services.

Mr. Panteck, a long-time veteran of the point-of-sale software industry, will lead Starmount's ongoing interest in expanding software development, consulting services and growing the multi-channel commerce platform. Mr. Panteck’s successful career includes 4+ years as the Managing Principal for Agilysys’ Retail Solutions Group. Prior to joining Agilysys, Mr. Panteck spent several years at BearingPoint as a Manager over the Merchandise Supply Organization (MSO) and while at Retek, he was the Director of Implementation Services. Early in his retail career, Mr. Panteck was the Vice President of System Services for DataVantage, a point-of-sale software provider for several well known specialty retail stores. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University, with a BS in Computer and Information Sciences.

With over 25 years of experience identifying and solving complex business issues and problems with a variety of retailers, Mr. Panteck has an expertise in implementation and management of point of sale and supply chain solutions for the retail industry as well as strong leadership skills in project and resource management.
