We are looking to add a Marketing Communications Manager to our growing team. This position will help to develop and execute the overall company marketing strategy and plan to include branding, lead generation activities, developing sales collateral and messaging, website content creation, and trade shows.

This is a great opportunity to help grow a Marketing team, as this position could assume a team lead or manager role in the near future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all marketing activities, from developing strategy to executing on individual tasks with the goal to increase sales through effective lead generation, including sales database management and analytics.
• Develop all marketing communications from email blasts, postcard mailers, trade show materials, content for the website, and other collateral to support the sales efforts in both product license sales and billable services.
• Assist in the development of the brand strategy, using internal and external resources and vendors.
• Conduct market research on new segments, verticals, and industries as well as generating target client lists.
• Manage all trade show logistics and marketing related responsibilities.
• Develop advertising budget and execute on a strategy for effective campaigns.
• Create press releases and attend functions to extend the voice of Starmount to the world.

Experience:

• 5 to 7 years experience in Marketing Communications, ideally within a software company or other technology focused company.
• Excellent skills in the MS Office products, including PowerPoint and project management software.
• Experience writing press releases and content for websites.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, both with clients, analysts, the press, and internal teams across the organization.
• Solid understanding of Web 2.0 techniques to develop effective social marketing programs to include blogs, Twitter, Facebook applications, discussion groups, webinars, etc.
• Must be creative and have strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with a limited budget for outside activities.
• BA/BS in Business Administration, with a concentration on Marketing preferred but not required.
