Joseph HalloumPresident and CEOJoe Halloum founded Starmount in June 2006. As CEO, Mr. Halloum brings a wealth of knowledge in driving technology solutions to multiple industries, having been an integral part of high growth companies before Starmount. Most recently, Mr. Halloum was the Vice President of Global Retail Engineering for Gilbarco, Inc., a provider of fueling and retail management systems for convenience stores, hypermarkets and service stations. Mr. Halloum was responsible for Gilbarco’s global Retail systems, payment products and related platforms. Prior to Gilbarco, Mr. Halloum was Senior Vice President of Engineering for 360Commerce Inc., provider of software applications designed to help Tier One retailers manage their operations from the Point-of-Sale to the Back Office. Mr. Halloum managed product development and quality as well as professional services. Mr. Halloum also held senior management positions at National Computer Systems Inc., The University of Iowa, Iowa State University, and Cornell College. Mr. Halloum has a Masters of Business Administration from St. Andrews University and a Bachelor of Science in both Computer Engineering Computer Science from Iowa State University. Myron G. MixonVice President of Finance and AccountingMyron Mixon joined Starmount in 2008 as the VP of Finance and Accounting. Mr. Mixon brings over 30 years of industry experience in professional companies where he has held senior financial and operational positions, at both public and private, venture backed companies. Prior to joining Starmount, Mr. Mixon served as Chief Financial Officer of NationsPlan Insurance Agency, LLC, contributing to the increase in production by approximately 30%, and Legacy Managing General Agency, LLC where he held an ownership position and was instrumental in its growth from $500K annual premium to $7.0 million annual premium. Mr. Mixon has also held a variety of executive management positions at Heartland Lloyds Insurance Company and Heartland Management & Financial Services, Inc. Mr. Mixon holds a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by the State of Texas. Mark PetersonVice President of Global SalesMark Peterson joined Starmount in 2008 as the VP of Global Sales. With over eight years of experience selling to the “C” level executives for the top 100 retailers worldwide, Mr. Peterson has demonstrated his ability to provide technology product solutions and professional services to solve business needs. At Starmount, Mr. Peterson leads a team of sales and business development professionals while identifying opportunities and building strategic relationships. Prior to joining Starmount, Mr. Peterson was a Client Director with Oracle Retail (previously 360Commerce), responsible for the development of retail professional services in the Oracle environment. Prior to his tenure at Oracle, Mr. Peterson was a Client Executive at Ingenico and he has held technical and management positions at WR Grace, Isochem, Inc. and Chemrite, Inc. Mr. Peterson has a Bachelor of Science in both Marine Biology and Chemistry from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI. Tom McGowanVice President of Strategic AlliancesTom McGowan has more than 25 years experience in digital signage and self-service kiosks used within public spaces and casinos. He led the earliest initiatives with Harrah’s Casinos to develop standardized “green” messaging systems for customers and employees and in 1996, Mr. McGowan was recognized with the Harrah’s Chairman’s Award for development of the Harrah’s Total Rewards kiosks. Mr. McGowan participated in numerous IT initiatives and he implemented and managed a digital signage software enterprise network for eighteen Harrah’s casinos in 1998. From 2002–2008, Mr. McGowan was the VP of Operations at Core Technology, Inc., providing custom digital media solutions to the gaming industry. In 2002, Mr. McGowan founded Marketing Communications, LLC, a digital signage consulting firm that focuses on innovation, organizational development, process improvement, and sales efficiency, for public space and casino gaming companies. Mr. McGowan is an industry veteran with clients including: St. Clair Interactive, Activelight, Intellimat, Avocent, Pioneer, Alpha Video, Broadsign, Scala, Omnivex, Pacific Digital, Jupiterbay, The Digital Signage Group, Evision, 3M, LG Electronics, EDR Media, Funk Linko. In 1999, Mr. McGowan joined the startup executive team as a Director at Adspace Networks/Coolsign where he managed field operations, technical services, and strategic partner relations while contributing to the deployment of 35 casino networks in less than 18 months at casinos, malls, department stores, airports. John L. PanteckVice President of Professional ServicesJohn Panteck joined Starmount in 2010 as the VP of Professional Services. Mr. Panteck brings over 25 years of retail industry experience in professional companies where he has held several senior positions. Most recently, he held the position of Managing Principal at Agilysys, Inc. where he led the General and Specialty Retail Practice forming strategic partnerships with companies such as Oracle Retail, ISD Corporation, Verifone, etc. and developed new programs aimed specifically at the mid market retailer. Mr. Panteck has also held a variety of executive positions at BearingPoint, Retek, and DataVantage. Prior to entering the services side of retail, he was Director of Retail Systems at Cole National Corporation for over 11 years. Mr. Panteck holds a BS degree from the Ohio State University in Computer and Information Sciences. |
